Description:
The size and position of the teeth on the three jaw faces is based on a formula such that tooth size increases as pipe diameter increases. The principle is shown applied to "hook jaw" and "pliers" type pipe wrenches. Corresponding U.S. patent 460,230 was granted Sept. 29, 1891.
