Description:
The specifications discuss assembly considerations, and modifications to suit specific applications. The basic frame is bent heavy wire, with straps to hold it in place, and a dependent "blab" which blocks sucking access and swings away to allow grazing and drinking when the head is lowered.

Corresponding Canadian patent CA-77,273 was issued Sept. 2, 1902.

Further "improvements" to this design received patents 709,140 and 1,253,944.

Cryptic directory listings, brief 1908 text ads for "Daggett" weaners, and listing for "Daggett and Son" (Omaha) in Nebraska Dept. of Labor annual reports ca. 1914-1915 are circumstantial evidence a Daggett design was produced, and suggest further research is warranted.
