Description: |
| A smooth wire muzzle attached to a leather strap is set up to swing up sufficiently to allow grazing and drinking, but drops over the front of the nose and mouth to prevent sucking when the head is raised.
Advertising notes the smooth muzzle does not irritate or injure the udder which is the target of the attempted sucking. An 1892 write-up for Shaw's Calf Weaner names the manufacturer. |
