Description: |
This was sold as the "Simplex" clamp by the Simplex Tool & Instrument Co. of Camden, NJ; an article in the July 1921 The Wood-Worker describes this patent clamp and names the manufacturer. The October 1922 issue of the same journal notes that "The Parsons Specialty & Machine Works,Hancock street,Philadelphia, Pa., have taken over the manufacture of the "Simplex" steel bar clamp, formerly made by the Simplex Tool & Instrument Co., of Camden, N. J." We have seen an example marked "No.12" on one end and "Simplex / Camden, NJ / Pat'd" on the other. |
