"Vintage Machinery" entry for American Tool Works Co.
Description:
Claim:

It has been the object of the present inventor to provide an improved arrangement of the power shaft which delivers the power generally to the drill head of the radial drill. The improvement makes it possible to interchange, without difficulty, the main driving gears, which connect the motor to the head driving shaft. These gears are disposed in a position where they are conveniently accessible and where their removal does not require any substantial disassembly.
