This spark plug gauge uses a piece of sheet metal with a section of tapered thickness and labeled according to thickness. An example has been seen, labeled "Automark Spark Plug Gap Gauge / U.S.Pat. 3122837 / Made in Canada", and the packaging says that it is from the Automark Division of Jay International Corp., Palatine (Chicago), Illinois; and by the Automark Divison of Autocar Marine & Diesel Co., London, England; and by the Automark Division of Jay Internation of Canada Ltd., Downsview (Toronto), Ontario. US Trade Mark Registration S/N 447,292 is for the "AUTOMARK" name used for, among other things, spark plug gauges; this mark was registered by Automark Industries, Inc., Palatine, Ill. The Automark Division of Jay International made Automark spark plugs among other products.
