The features claimed in the patent include (1) "lug" on fixed jaw that serves as catch for pipe gripping insert; (2) interchangeable jaws for nuts and pipe -- the jaws having an inserted toothed grip and set screw for secure clamping to the serrated main shank and (3) spring catch on removable handle.
An unmarked wrench with movable jaw having a clamping set screw and inserted gripping plate has been suggested as reflecting the intent of this patent. |
