| This is a variation on the taper micrometer of patent 2,746,158. Both patents were assigned to T. M. Electronics, Inc., in 1982, which had apparently acquired Taper Micrometer Corp. of Worcester. Internal taper micrometers, for measuring taper sockets, are much less common and so far we do not have any reports of a surviving example. |
