Description: |
The inventor was the son of the founder of the Volney W. Mason Co. So far as we can tell that company manufactured neither gears nor gear-making machinery. The son also obtained a pair of patents for composite gears, 711,991 and 763,993. In 1904 he was the New York City agent for the Taylor Iron & Steel Co. of High Bridge, NJ.
