Description:
"Drilling.-A radial-arm or other drilling-machine in which a saddle is traversed by power is provided with a stop-motion to prevent the saddle from moving beyond certain limits. In the form shown, the saddle B carrying the arm is raised by a screw I driven through a reversing crown train D. The hand lever H for operating the clutch F is provided with an arm N in the path of pins n fixed on the saddle to disengage the clutch automatically when the saddle reaches the safe limit of its travel. Adjustable stops may be secured in the slot O. The pins may operate a belt fork or electrical contacts when the machine is electrically driven."
