Description: |
Reversible ratchet wrench with adjustable jaws within the ratchet head. The jaws on one side of the head are flat for nuts; on the other side they have notched and grooved surfaces to grip pipe, drill bit tangs, etc. The jaws adjust with a left- and right-hand threaded screw.
Corresponding U.S. patent 266,595 was granted Oct. 24, 1882.
In that patent, the addresses are in Tennessee, the drawings here give a Vermont address for the attorney.
A known example of the wrench is marked only "OWEN." |
