Description: |
From the specifications: "The present invention relates to that type of pipe tongs or wrenches in which a section of chain and a serrated shoe constitute the means for engaging the pipe or other article, and has for its object to provide a simple and efficient construction and formation of the holding shoe or head whereby beaded pipe fittings and other like beaded articles can be engaged and manipulated in a ready, safe,and efficient manner."
The shoe has a central "V" grove with gripping teeth. Impoved by patent no. 826,939, and apparently used in the IDEAL CHAIN WRENCH. |
