| Description: | | A sliding jaw with the slide held in adjustment by a leaf spring. In the patent the movable jaw has dual functions. In the nut wrench function, the jaw is held against sliding by engagement of teeth on the jaw and frame. In the alligator wrench function, the movable jaw rocks against the fixed jaw, and the teeth form the gripping surfaces which are at an angle to each other.
It is not clear that this pipe gripping capacity is included in the wrench based on this patent. | |
