Description: |
This invention "has for its object to keep the saw-band taut and prevents its wabbling." Like many early bandsaw patents, the primary goal is to address the problem that the inertia of the upper wheel tends to cause the blade to buckle when the blade hits some resistance, such as a knot. The buckling causes wavy cuts and can break the blade. And perhaps it causes wabbling as well. |
