Description:
Another famous Stanley patent, which was used on many different styles of gage. This patent covers a very simple adjustable point mechanism, which allows the point to be easily adjusted up and down, and removed for sharpening.

This is probably the most-used marking gage patent in history. Stanley used this one almost every gage in its line for over 100 years.
