"Vintage Machinery" entry for Victor Manufacturing Co.
Description:
The vise is for holding non-ferrous material on a magnetic chucks. The main innovation is that as the jaws are tightened they also move slightly downwards to force the clamped article to be flat on the base.

Of interest because inventor Peterson Sr. had developed and patented a variable-speed drill; see patent 1,842,194. The co-inventors, although described as being from Watertown and Belmont, have the mailing address of 183 High St. in Boston.
