Description:

Solid socketed head is used instead of a multiple piece construction. Lukfin later improved this design under utility patent 272,279 keeping the basic construction the same but changing the geometry of the head to prevent the head from being broken off.

Known example has the patent date: PAT'D / APR 07, 1874 on the end of the head.
