Description:
Listed in A List of Patents Issued by the United States, from 1790 to 1847, pgs. 289 & 506.

Abstract:

The machine works in an oblong square frame, which for working a piece of granite ten feet in length may be of the following dimensions viz : two sills twenty-two feet in length, eight by ten inches square, placed three feet asunder, and connected at the ends by two cross sills. At the rear end, the cross end or end sill is framed on with the ends flush with the sides of the side sills.

Claim:

The combination of two rows of hammers placed on opposite sides of the frame operated by one tappet wheel.
