This is an extremely simple butt gage design, meant to be cheap and
easy to produce. It is simple piece of bent sheet metal, with two
bent metal fences.
While it would have been quite cheap to produce, it has little else
going for it. It is not a particularly elegant or usable tool, and
would have been quite flimsy.
