Description: |
Patent number along with another reissue and corresponding utility patent number 1,734,831 appears on the "barrel" of a compact "MADE IN U.S.A." screw jack. The assignments suggest this was made by WALKER for automotive use. The double screw design allows a relatively short jack to attain total lift more than double the "base" height. This patent deals with the means to make the outer screw travel its full range before the inner screw turns when lifting, and the inner screw turning before the outer screw when lowering. The specifications also note patent no. 1,538,896 in relation to the overall composition of the jack. |
