Description: |
| "The present invention proposes the construction of an improved pair of sheet metal cutting shears which can be used to cut sheet metal without the cutoff portion curling or otherwise being bent out of shape." The patent number appears together with D180,004 on examples of MALCO M-12 shears. Given those shears overall resemblance to the D180,004 design and corresponding utility patent 2,801,468, there is some speculation the "2,801,467" marking is a mis-print. On the other hand, 2,801,468 was assigned to Anderson Tool & Manufacturing Company (Chicago).
Patent nos. 398,509, 1,080,145, 1,760,627, 2,078,585, 2,491,712, and 2,517,471 are cited as references. |
