Description: |
Internal pipe wrench with one version designed to fit condenser tube ferrules (condensers were part of marine steam propulsion systems). The screw mandrel pushes "dogs" against the inner surface of pipe nipples, etc. to provide grip, and the outside of the "wrench" has flat surfaces to engage an appropriate sized wrench.
Various "standards" agencies had adopted standards including sizes and designs for condenser tube ferrules in the 1920s. |
