Description: |
A jar-top wrench including a handle having opposite sides of different lengths and beveled or tapered at one end at an angle of about sixty degrees adjacent the longer side, and having a loop or strap of flexible material secured at both its ends to the said longer side of the handle, the said tapered end being adapted to press into the bight, of the loop and draw it closely around the jar top thus enabling the strap to grip about nine-tenths of the object to be turned.
A known example is marked "Fruit Belt Wrench" with the patent date. |
