| This is the Canadian equivalent of Australia patent AU-1,945,024,079. See that patent for information on this interesting inventor. This hacksaw frame was briefly manufactured as the "ANYCUT" hacksaw before the inventor's untimely death in 1947. This Canadian patent drawing shows a handle different in shape to both the Australian patent drawing and to a manufactured example (see the photos under the Australian patent). The earlier design looked to be uncomfortable to use and the design shown here is considerably improved in that respect.Assignee Jeanne Marie Driscoll was the daughter of the inventor and Clarice Constance West. |
