Description:
Abstract:

My invention relates particularly to improvements in electric lamps or light regulators in which the light is produced by means of the voltaic arc, but may be applied also to electric lighting by incandescence. The objects of the invention are to operate two or more lights on a single circuit in such manner that any interference with the current at the arc of any one lamp or light regulator shall not operate to disturb the lights at the other lamps or light-regulators on the same circuit, and to regulate the feeding of the carbons by means of a derived current, instead of depending upon the direct action of the main current.

Claim:

In an electric-light regulator, a releasing or feeding train mounted upon the armature lever of an electro-magnet in the main or light circuit with the carbons, in combination with a detent controlled by an electro-magnet in a derived circuit to the carbons.
