Description: |
Claim:
Our invention relates to means for driving the drill-spindle of a drilling machine at a plurality of selective speeds, and is an elaboration upon thefinechanism disclosed in Letters Patent of the United States No.1,297,256, granted 11 March, 1919, on the application of H. W. Schatz and A. M. Sosa, for improvements in drilling machines.
In the device of said patent a relatively small gear is associated with the drill-spindle for rotating the drill-spindle at high speeds, and a relatively large gear, exemplified as an internal gear, is associated with the drill-spindle for rotating the drill-spindle at relatively-slow speeds, these relatively high speeds and relatively slow speeds being multiplied by speed changing mechanism. |
