Description: |
| This clever drill press slow-speed attachments mounts the motor with its shaft and multi-step pulley to the bottom; a belt connects it to a multi-step pulley on the bottom of a vertical jack-shaft, and the top of the jack-shaft carries another pulley that connects to the spindle pulley. This simple and compact arrangement provides the two-stage speed reduction required for drilling metal on a small drill press with an AC induction motor. |
