| Here is a refreshingly simple design for a machinist's scratch gage with a micro-adjustable head. The head is locked on the bar using a set screw bearing on a split collar, at which point the head can be turned to fine-tune the adjustment. Stamped on the head of the gage is: E. J. Sylvester, Buffalo, N.Y. Pat June 29, 1915. |
