Description:

Improvements to patent 2,211,201. One improvement is the use of a thin-walled sheet metal cup in conjunction with the spherically polished glass dish. The sheet metal serves to hold the level liquid against the glass and it is designed to flex with temperature in a way that compensates for the change in volume of the liquid.
