Description:
The inventor, Orsoco Charles Woolson, was born in Cuba in 1848 and died in New York in 1920. He served an apprenticeship at Hewes & Phillips Iron Works in Newwark 1865-1869. After that he worked various jobs at John Cooper Engineering Works; US Government; New York Elevated Railroad; Babcock & Wilcox Co.; National Water Tube Boiler Co. In 1893 he established an engineering firm in New York. It seems unlikely that he ever manufactured machines based on this patent.
