Description: |
The inventor was an ironmonger and was with the Blackmoor Iron-works, near Stourbridge. We searched for more information on these Iron-works but the only mentions we could find were related to this patent.A pair of rollers, geared to rotate together, are grooved, by which means the skelp (the strip of metal to be rolled into a tube) may be partly bent from end to end, and then turned over and rolled again so that the edges are brought together and ready for welding. |
