|
Description: |
Note: Early English patents (pre 1916) were numbered by the year and started at patent #1 at the start of each year in January. The patent # used in DATAMP represents the year of issue of the application and the patent #. This patent is #9,387 of the year 1898.
Abstract:
Relates to sight-feed lubricators of condensation or differential-piston type for supplying oil to the supply pipes and valve-chests of steam engines &c. Instead of the usual conical regulating-valve, a valve c with a hemispherical head c<1> is employed. In the cylindrical chamber d, forming an enlargement of the feed-pipe e, is placed the taper plug f, which is of such a length that it closes the pipe e when the valve head c<1> is on its seat d'. |
