Jeff Joslin Vintage Machinery entry for M. Sault & Co., Yale Iron Works
|
Description: |
This apple parer and slicer has been mis-identified as made by "M. S. Ault & Co." of New Haven; in fact, the stenciling on the machine says M. SAULT MANUFACTURER NEW HAVEN", with a slightly too-large space between the S and A of SAULT. The firm of M. Sault & Co. of New Haven was best known as a maker of engine lathes; by the early 1870s the firm name had changed to "Yale Iron Works". See the VintageMachinery.org link for more information. |
