Description: |
The wing nut opens and closes the jaws through the operation of a screw and intermediate links. The device compresses automotive valve springs to enable removal of the "keeper," and holds the spring compressed until it can be reinstalled.
Some contemporary ads show a Chicago distributor; other listings show the Wisconsin manufacturer.
