| Alloy Artifacts shows a series of New Britain "None Better" and "Husky" ratchets resembling the design in this patent. The oldest ones have extended length "shift" levers and a spring / ball detent beneath the "shift" lever to hold the position. They do not have the "transverse plunger" shown in the drawings and described in the specifications.
