Description: |
This cleverly designed jointer guard solves the problem with a porkchop-style guard: when the fence is moved to expose a minimum of cutter-head, the guard sticks out. This guard folds up, each segment nesting into the segments to its left. Each segment has a leaf spring to keep it in position over the cutterhead. An example has been seen in photographs; it does not appear to have any maker's mark. For a slightly earlier example of the same general design, see patent 1,788,663. |
