Jeff Joslin Vintage Machinery entry for Stone & Hazelton
Description: |
| In 1877-79 the inventor was partner in Stone & Hazelton, who manufactured lathes and accessories, presumably including this invention. In the late 1890s, Hazelton ran a Philadelphia maker of switches and switchboards, F. D. Hazelton & Co. In 1902, motivated by problems he experienced in manufacturing knife switches, he invented a metal-cutting tablesaw. It was made by a new business, Hazelton & Donald Machine Co. They only lasted a year before selling the business to Hub Machine & Tool Co. |
