The assignment was "by mesne assignments", which means that it was first assigned to someone else (Sunlight Electric Mfg. Co., the assignee of the original patent to which this patent is an improvement?) and then that assignee transferred the assignment. We know that Kingston worked for Sunlight both before and after this 1933 patent was issued so the mesne assignment is unusual. |
