Description: |
The jaws each have a cylindrical cross-piece that engages a transverse slot in the chuck's longitudinally slotted spindle. The jaws are tightened onto the shank of the bit by a pair of stationary and movable cones bear on the jaw's outer ramps when the outer shell is tightened. A circular spring attached to each of the jaws in turn presses them outwards. |
