Description: |
Marked "Vaughan's TapVent" and "PAT. 2,663,076 & 170,999" The second patent marking is La Forte's patent D170,999, issued 3 weeks earlier than the Robinson patent. The Robinson patent adds a long center can "venting tool" and increased leverage by using ones thumb to pierce the can in two places. La Forte's patent is marked "TapBoy" and is fairly common, whereas the TapVent is rarely found. |
