Description: |
| The tool is an embellishment on a monkey wrench. The end of the wrench handle has a peg that fits into a base that clamps onto a spoke adjacent to the wheel hub. The shank and fixed head of the wrench have a threaded bore. A left- and right-hand threaded shaft threaded into this bore has a forked block threaded onto the other end. The center of the shaft has a square section for application of a secondary wrench. Tightening the threaded shaft pushes the wheel felly tight against the tire, so that shims can be inserted between the spoke and felly.
The clamps and threaded shaft can be removed from the monkey wrench to allow it to be used as a wrench. |
