Description:

This invention describes a "mechanism for automatically withdrawing a drill of a drilling machine when the drill meets an obstruction. The machine of this invention represents an improvement over the machines shown in my U.S. Pat. Nos. 3,192,802 and 3,283,618." (The latter patent number is incorrectly rendered as "3,282,618" in the specification but there is no doubt as to the correct number.)
