| Improvement to patent no. 1,072,807. The major features of the patent are a spring to hold the rod handle in position, and a modification to the ratchet reversing mechanism.
The second image shows a ratchet tool marked F.H. AYER MFG. CO. CHICAGO HEIGHTS ILL. PAT. SEP 9, 1913 SEP. 26, 1916. It has the rod handle as described in this patent, and the ratchet shifting mechanism from the earlier patent.
