Combination hammer, doubletree pin, and adjustable axle nut wrench. The jaws are held open by a spring, and closed by a bolt with wing nut.
Known example marked "KOVAR PAT MAR. 1, 1910;" early 1920s advertising shows it as the "HANDY ANDY" produced by Joseph J. Kovar at Owatonna, MN. The hammer poll has a claw not shown or mentioned in the patent. Shown as no. 214 in "Antique & Unusual Wrenches" by Schulzes. |
