Description: |
Pipe wrench with a massive adjustable jaw that slides on a lever. The movable jaw has a pin that rides in a slot in the main shank to prevent lateral movement. The adjustment is held by meshing teeth on the main shank and movable jaw.
A known example (with a piece broken from the adjustable jaw) has no visible markings; that circumstance hints at Canadian production.
U.S. patent 491,513 is for the same design. |
