Description: |
Double jaw self-adjusting. Kindermann had produced a single-opening self adjusting wrench based on a January 25, 1870 design patent (no. D3,821).
An example of this wrench from the Elmo Rinehart collection was marked A. KINDERMANN PAT*D MAR. 16, 86. It is much simpler than the design shown in the patent drawing.
KINDERMAN & SCHROEDER is listed as a manfacturer of "clinch wrenches" and gasoline burners in 1880s Cleveland directories and lists of Ohio manufacturers. |
