Description: |
Turning the handle adjusts the jaw. The patent shows a spring-tensioned hook jaw for gripping pipe. The patent stresses the ease of making the component parts. This pipe wrench version is not known; a nut wrench version with either smooth or toothed jaws like design patent D130,015 is fairly common.
A similar design marked SUPER SERVICE MFG. CO. K.C. MO. PAT. PENDING matches Guy W. Hawkins' Oct. 21, 1941 design patent (D130,024).
Boos' Pat. no. 1,946,669 probably corresponds to another SUPER SERVICE WRENCH. |
