Description: |
A spring connection between the frame and movable jaw tends to close the jaw. A sliding pawl with an angled slot holds the adjustment. The pawl is moved by a sliding button.
A 1921 ad in Automobile Trade Journal shows this wrench produced by Edstrom at Cary, IL; an early 1921 notice for it gives Jessop & Thompson of Chicago as the maker.
Also used in conjunction with Edstrom's June 19, 1923 patent (no. 1,459,583) for the EDSTROM MILWAUKEE WIS PAT 1-2-23 & 6-9-23 quick adjust wrench.
