Description: |
The spring biases the hook jaw to the open position. The biasing spring is retained in the frame when the adjustable jaw is removed. A couple of alternate means of holding the spring in the frame are presented. The exterior of the wrench resembles the RIDGID (Pat. no. 1,727,623 -- issued Sept. 10, 1929).
The specifications reference patent nos. 509,408 and 2,650,512.
The ERIE PIPEMASTER pipe wrenches have this biasing spring feature. |
