Description: |
Both the fixed and movable jaws are shallow "V" shapes so pipe is gripped at four places on its circumference. The movable jaw adjustment is by a pair of spring-loaded pawls which engage rack teeth on both sides of the shank of the movable jaw.
Compare the position of teeth and rack in William R. Evans' Oct. 7, 1913 patent no. 1,074,936. |
